7 Abundance Mindset Quotes: Some Important Things To Know

Like many people, I was taught that you can’t have what you want in life. I think that was the mantra of my parent’s generation. I was also taught that if you had too much of something, it meant you were taking away from someone else. But, I don’t believe that anymore. I have developed an abundance mindset where I believe that we can all have what we want in life. Just because so-and-so is successful doesn’t mean I can’t be successful too. There are so many opportunities and possibilities in this world that we can all have the life we want. Following are some abundance mindset quotes that resonate with me in a big way.

Shoot for the moon even if you miss you'll land among the stars

1. Gratitude Helps You Develop An Abundance Mindset

Appreciation creates a mindset of abundance. Worry creates a mindset of scarcity. – Gordana Biernat

Gratitude is probably the most powerful tool I know of when it comes to creating a better life.

  • It helps you see possibilities that you can’t see otherwise.
  • You can find the good in situations.
  • You can create more happiness and joy in your life.
  • And you can influence other people in a positive way.

Living without gratitude isn’t an option for me. Gratitude creates a mindset of abundance and positivity, and I can’t imagine how I would feel without it.

Well, that’s not true. I can imagine because I’ve been there.

I would feel worried, fearful, angry, guilty, and all those low energy emotions that create a very ugly, hopeless, and frightening world. Nobody living in that state could ever believe in abundance, never mind achieve it.

2. You Must Be Willing To Take Action If You Want An Abundance Mindset

The abundance mentality includes the belief that the answers are out there if we only are willing to invest in the search for them, and experiment. – Kris Putnam-Walkerly: Embracing a Mindset Of Abundance

Really this boils down to self-improvement. You must:

  • Believe that self-improvement is important to getting the life you want.
  • Ask questions and look for answers.
  • Search for ways to become smarter, better, and happier.
  • Try out new habits and get rid of old habits.

Personal development must become a way of life if you want an abundance mindset, not just something you do for a month or a day.

3. Everyone Can Use Abundance In A Good Way

I have an abundance mindset. I live open-handed, giving generously because my God is an abundant God. – Pastor Craig Groeschel

I find a lot of people think an abundance mindset is evil. I remember a friend of mine quoting something from the bible and interpreting it as a sign that you shouldn’t make too much money or have too many good things in your life.

But, I’ve long believed that it’s not money or abundance that is evil, it’s the way you view it and use it.

In other words, if you view money as the most important thing in life, then you will not be focused on love, giving, and compassion.

Or, if you use money in a negative way to further your selfish needs, then that is not a good thing either.

Or, if you rub it in other people’s faces that you have abundance in one area of your life, then you are doing a disservice to those people and yourself.

But, if you have an abundant lifestyle, and you give openly knowing that you are benefiting others and that you are still going to maintain an abundant life, then your abundance is being used for good. How can that be a bad thing?

4. Why Do People Have It Better Than You?

An abundance mindset always outperforms a scarcity mindset in the long run. – Rory Vaden

Upbringing, luck, and the right connections are all advantages to getting what you want, but the biggest advantage is an abundance mindset.

When you believe that you are going to get and do great things, you will do what needs to be done to get and do those great things. You will take action. You won’t let fear or other obstacles stand in your way.

People who have a scarcity mindset don’t believe that there is enough. They don’t believe things will work out. So, they don’t take positive action because they believe it is a waste of time.

Of course, an abundance mindset will outperform a scarcity mindset!

If you are being outperformed, you may want to boost the way you look at yourself and what you are capable of doing. Moreover, develop the belief that we can all do great things and you should celebrate other people’s accomplishments, not be jealous or upset about them.

5. Abundance Is About More Than Money

Abundance is a mindset, not a dollar amount. – Tony Robbins

Having an abundance mindset means you believe that there is enough to go around – and in a big way. It’s not just about money. It’s about love, fun, compassion, success, accomplishments, good food, rewards, family, friends, and everything else that’s important to you.

The great thing is that when you see that abundance applies to all areas of life, you end up affecting all areas of your life and other people’s lives positively, including the area of wealth.

6. Giving Fosters The Mindset Of Abundance

Abundance is a mindset that starts with learning how to give. – Rory Vaden

I love this abundance mindset quote. It’s essential to understand if you want abundance.

The best way to develop a true abundance mindset is to give. It gets you out of the selfish mindset (me, me, me!) and limited mindset (only enough for me – lack and scarcity), and into a more abundant state of mind.

You will also realize that your abundance can affect their abundance, and their abundance can affect someone else’s abundance, and on and on it goes.

7. Your Limiting Beliefs Affect Your Abundance Mindset

Everyone in my experience has the same 24 abundance blocks. – Christie Marie Sheldon

You can’t just snap your fingers and develop an abundance mindset. That’s because if you don’t have an abundance mindset right now, that means that there are limiting beliefs that are holding you back from having it. These limiting beliefs are often scorched into your subconscious mind and dictate how you act and think, as well as what you are capable of in life.

For example:

  • Money is hard to earn.
  • I don’t deserve abundant love in my life.
  • I can’t change.
  • I will be rejected if I try.
  • I will fail if I try.
  • I’m not good enough.
  • I’m not smart enough.

These are just a small, tiny portion of the limiting beliefs that could be keeping you from having an abundance mindset.

Christie Marie Sheldon has a program called Unlimited Abundance, which helps you break through your limiting beliefs. I highly recommend taking it if you want to work on developing an abundance mindset or are already working on it but feel stuck.
