What Does The Bible Say About Light?

The Bible speaks often about light, both physical and spiritual. In the physical world, light is necessary for sight and safety. In the spiritual world, light is necessary for truth and salvation.

God is called the “light of the world” (John 8:12) because he brings truth and salvation to mankind. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6).

In order to receive God’s salvation, we must come into the light (1 John 1:7). This means that we must accept Jesus Christ as our personal savior and follow him. As we do this, we are given spiritual sight and can begin to understand the truth of God’s Word.

What Is The Light Of Jesus?

In the Bible, Jesus is often called “the light of the world.” This means that He is the source of spiritual light for everyone. In John 8:12, Jesus says, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

Jesus is our guide and protector, and He brings us hope and joy. When we follow Him, we are filled with His light and love. He brings salvation and reveals the way to God. We need Him to guide us through life’s darkness.
