18 Signs He’s the One Sent by God for You

By Victorino Q. Abrugar

The man God has for you

If you are faithful to God, you are probably waiting for that guy whom the heaven has sent for you. But how can you know if he’s the one whom God has for you? Are there divine clues that can guide women in identifying the right man for them?

Having the wrong partner in your relationship is not something to be taken lightly. It can break your heart, and worse, it can ruin your life, your future and even the people who are relying on you.

Love is a journey. And just like any other journeys, you have to choose the right path to achieve happiness and success, not only for yourself and the one you love, but also for the relationship you and your partner have.

To guide you in recognizing the man sent by God for you, here are some signs from the Bible that you should watch out for.

1. He speaks the words of God.
“For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.” – John 3:34

The man that comes from God speaks the words of God. Hence, listen carefully to his words. Are his words or messages in agreement to what God teaches us? Does he speak wisdom or foolishness? Of course you wouldn’t know it if you don’t know God’s words in the first place. Thus, start reading the Holy Scriptures.

Take note that the messages and verses of the Bible are like lyrics in a song. When you become familiar with its harmony, you will know when someone sings it out of tune.

We know that God speaks about love, kindness, compassion, patience and truthfulness. So if a guy is speaking of the opposite, then obviously he is not from Him.

2. He practices what he speaks.
“My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.” – 1 John 3:18

Words are futile without actions. So even though a man speaks the words of God, if he doesn’t practice them, you can conclude that he’s only pretending and not really the guy sent to you by the Heavens.

3. He doesn’t lie.
“Lying lips are abomination to the Lord: but they that deal truly are his delight.” – Proverbs 12:22

Of course God will not send you someone who is a liar. God detests lying, right?

4. He doesn’t corrupt your good character.
“Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.” –  1 Corinthians 15:33

God will not send you a partner who will destroy your good habits, attitude and whole character. Hence, ask yourself, does he inspire you to grow as a better person or does he influence you to do bad things?

5. He honors and respects you.
“Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.” –1 Peter 2:17

Your guy should know how to respect you as a woman and as person. He should honour you rather than put you in shame.

6. He is just and merciful.
“He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?” – Micah 6:8

God encourages us to show justice and mercy. Hence, expect that the person He will send to you will show the same, not the other way around.

7. He makes sacrifices.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16

The verse above tells that God made a great sacrifice to show His love to us. If a man truly loves you, he will also make sacrifices for you. It may not be a divine sacrifice like what God did, but it can be some sacrifices to save you or your relationship, like sacrificing his own ambition, material possessions and other important stuff.

8. He forgives you.
“Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.” – Colossians 3:13

Does he forgive you when you make mistakes or does he hold grudges in his heart? This is a question you should find an answer to know if he is from God or not.

9. He gives you grace.
“But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.” – Ephesians 4:7

Grace is a gift given to you even if you don’t deserve it. It’s different from a blessing since you will only receive blessing if you work for it. You will realize that a man is from God if despite of your shortcomings, he’s still kind and generous to you. Even if you feel like you don’t deserve his love, he still loves you.

HE POSSESSES THE FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. – Galatians 5:22-23

You will know that a man comes from God if the following manifestations of the Spirit of God are present in him:

10. Love: He loves you.
God is love. If you can hear, see, feel and realize love from a guy, then he must be from God. Thus, find out if his love for you is real or not.

ALSO READ: 21 Characteristics of True Love According to the Bible

11. Joy: He has a cheerful heart.
Joyfulness is another manifestation of the Spirit of God. If your man always chooses to act positively rather than react negatively on things around him, then he might be from God.

12. Peace: He is a man of peace.
A man from God always wishes and prays for peacefulness. If a guy loves to quarrel and always picks up a fight with you or with other people, then you can tell he is not the one.

13. Longsuffering: He is patient.
Patience is a virtue that comes from God. He will not send you a man who is short-tempered, irritable, and who always complains. A guy who comes from God also endures challenges and doesn’t easily give up.

14. Gentleness: He is a true gentleman.
The guy from God is not only physically gentle, but he is also gentle with your mind and heart. In other words, he is considerate with your feelings and he understands your thoughts to make sure he will not hurt you physically, emotionally and mentally.

15. Goodness: He is a good man.
Of course, God will not send you someone who’s unkind, immoral and does evil acts. Thus, find out if it is kindness or wickedness that’s inside a guy’s heart.

16. Faith: He is faithful.
He should be loyal and dedicated to you. If he’s courting a lot of girls at the same time, then you know he doesn’t have faith in you.

17. Meekness: He can humble himself.
Meekness is sometimes described as a weakness. However, it is simply the ability of a person to humble himself and go low to avoid foolish decisions, wrongful actions, conflicts and negative consequences. A person from God is one who can overcome his pride just to ensure your well-being and make you happy.

18. Temperance: He has self-control.
You will know if a man has the Spirit if he practices self-discipline. Thus, try to check if he is doing things that can hurt himself, like heavy drinking, smoking, gorging on unhealthy food, or procrastinating on his work. If he is, then it’s a red flag that he’s not the man whom God has for you.

They can be your guide to finding the right guy
The signs above from the verses in the Bible can be your guide to choosing the right man whom you will spend the rest of your life. The right guy for you may not be perfect and get all of the above, but as long as he is humble, God-fearing and honest enough to admit his shortcomings and he is patient and determined to grow as a person, you know there is hope. Besides, “love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things” – 1 Corinthians 13:7.

Finally, also remember that although God will send the right guy for you, you may still lose him if you will reject him or do nothing. Therefore, don’t just spend your life waiting for the man whom God has for you but you should also strive to be the woman whom God has for him.

Then maybe if you two aren’t already married she may not be the one for you because the Godly woman will appreciate the man sent from God to her.

Pray for yourself – pray that you believe in him and not to pray to manifest from God. Build a relationship with God first. Everything else will follow.

Thank you for this message. I really feel as if my Boaz has come. I’ve known this man all my life, but never knew him when we were kids. I just happened to reconnect with him after almost 20 years and we had an immediate connection. He immediately became my best friend. I cannot stop thinking about this man. I have not loved anyone as I love him. However, I feel I may have lost him for fear of rejection on my part. I think I may have said something to hurt him because now he’s not talking to me. He’s distant and I cannot get to him. I am praying that if this man is really my Boaz he will forgive me and talk to me so we can clear up any concerns we both may have. I’m praying he doesn’t see me as rejecting him as stated in the message above only to lose him and miss my blessing. Lord forgive me.

Similar thing w me. Everything in that list was there. He didn’t look like I wanted him to look, warm the money or stability I wanted, like the things I liked, but seemed to have the character and flexibility— actually thought this man has real Christ-consciousness. Not what I wanted, but maybe what I needed.

I may have “rejected” him, but he is not reaching out to me like he used to.

Actually we were hanging out when something happened to him that very likely could have killed him.

Maybe a warning of some sort.

Don’t know what has been going on. All I know is that when he used to write or say my name, I actually felt like God was saying it. (Hard to describe)

And now I have lost him

This is very true. I have had experiences with various men, and each relationship did not work. I wondered why things always seemed to fall through with these people.

These men did not follow God the way I follow him, his word, and his actions. As I was with these people, I lost sight of Gods word and his influence in my life.

I have reflected and saw myself in experiences that I cannot understand. I was blind. These men were sent to me, for me to learn that these are not people that need to be in my life.

I have now realized that the man that God put into my life 5 years ago was the one, all along. As we build a relationship, it feels so different. So natural, so open, and so loving.

I was blinded by distractions, but God wanted me to see that I had all that I needed in that specific man.

I thank God for his grace and his influence in my life.

    Amen

I have met a man of God. He is a Senior Pastor that was in a previous relationship that ended 8 months ago. This lady showed up at his church unknowingly to him. We have been courting for about 3 months now and his desire is to be married. Obviously, she still has feelings for him, but he says that he called it off for a reason. I have no reason to not believe him, but I think that I should step back because I’m not trying to get “caught up.”

A solid relationship has to be built on trust. If you don’t believe him then leave. If his actions are lining up with his words and he is really not showing his ex any attention then stay. It sounds like you’ve been hurt in the past and there is some fear there that he will leave. If he’s showing you and telling you he wants you and truly wants nothing to do with her then you have to lay down your fears. Fear, misplaced lack of trust, and doubt are cancers to relationships. Don’t let them stop you from being happy and having a good thing.

Remember, you cannot change anyone; only God can do so. It sounds like he really doesn’t have the heart to seek after God. You cannot put that seek in him. He has to want God for himself. I would suggest stepping back from the relationship and just be a friend and really pray for him objectively. Just because a person is saved and you are saved, it doesn’t mean you are equally yoked. God will send you someone who has strong faith in him and has a deep relationship with him. But remember, you can’t make him have a deep relationship with Christ. He has to want it and seek after it.

Thank you so much! When I was longing for love in my life and When I cried to lord, before I ask for someone, lord himself sent a guy to me. From nowhere he called me and said that he is in love with for 18long years.

When ever I cried out to lord, is he the one for me , he always made this guy call me at that very moment.

From past 3 days,I’ve been in confusion that is he the one? because I’m afraid of getting hurt.

He said, he loves me but first he said it may not happen, because 8 years back his cousin was in love with me, later everything changed and his cousin will not abide to any one.

He is not true one. Even if his cousin is there around him, he never used to talk.

I felt bad and I prayed to lord. Again miracle, he himself said, that’s not a problem anymore because I know I’m not doing wrong.

He is in different country and have very busy schedule. Whenever he gets time he will calls and speak for hours. Even I’m low, no matter how busy he is, he will call.

After seeing all these, I’ve faith in lord that he is the one, that god sent.

    Every single thing matches.

I’m so grateful to lord that he led me to see this page.

Thank you so much! You’ve no idea how much you helped me.

He is afraid that long distance doesn’t work so I’m not sure of going to his place to study or continue working here.

I need help from lord and I do believe that he’ll lead me further. Lord is helping me to be a blessed women now.

I began dating a guy in November 2014 – to cut a long story short. I had no idea who god was when i was dating him. I never once prayed or went to mass. This guy was most definitely not sent to me by God. I was the one to end the relationship and ended up in a deep depression as i felt sooo guilty for hurting him, as he begged and begged me not to leave him. I cried for a year and never once thought about myself during this time.
I was having severe anxiety esp at night and i would reach for my rosary beads (they were always in a drawer, but never used up until this point) I always remember my grandmother telling me that if i ever had problems sleeping that i should repeat “Jesus, Mary & Joseph, I place all my trust in you!” so i repeated those words until i fell asleep and when i woke again (which was 10 times a night) i would do the same thing all over again. Two years had passed and i was feeling ok. I found the Mother of God in these years and she introduced me to her son Jesus , i prayed to the Mother of God every night. I prayed that if i was meant to have a man in my life that she would direct me to him. So in 2018 i met a guy. After a few dates i was invited to his house for lunch….. i couldn’t believe my eyes when i walked into his living room and there in the corner of the room was a statue of Our Lady???? Surely he was sent to me? We have been together for 10 months. So basically out of nowhere my feelings towards him are not as strong as they used to be, i can feel him getting on my nerves, and i don’t like having these negative feelings towards him. Hes such a good person, his morals and his existence is mere peace. He doesn’t practice his faith exactly the way i do…. we go to mass together and pray for us as a couple. So i’m a little on edge at the moment and i’m not sleeping great again. Basically i’m afraid that this will be the beginning of the end for us and for the hurt that he will endure if i have to tell him that we cant be together anymore. one minute i feel positive for us and the next i feel scared. Im calling out to God for him to let me know one way or the other because i cannot think straight for myself.

I have met my eternal love four years ago, we met during my senior college year. I was in my lowest point of life, he appeared to lift up my spirit, he pointed me to the Lord, he had been a light in the darkness, he showed me what it meant to love your friend and lay down your life for her, he always guided me to a righteous path. He was madly in love with the Lord Jesus Christ, every work he did was to exalt God’s holy name, If it were not him, I wouldn’t be so close with the Lord now and begin serving the Lord in Ministry. I miss him, I love him but that was not the right timing of the Lord, after I finished college, we went separate ways, he used to write me letters, but somehow, he stopped, I never heard from him, in the last letter, he wrote, : “I will write longer later.” Yet, he never did. I prayed to God to help me to forget and let go of him but it only made me missing him and praying for him more. I really don’t know, there are many gentlmen courting me, but none of them I love just as how much I love him. I once told him that, “if I never see you on earth again, I will wait for you at the gate of heaven.” When I said this to him, I meant every word…My heart aches whenever I think of him, but I pray to God to give him a Godly Christian wife whom will love him, respect him and submit to him,if I were not this woman for him. Only God knows…brothers and sisters in Christ, what do you think?
