It’s awesome to be vegan. I count it as the most rewarding thing I’ve ever done in my life. If you think it sucks to be vegan, you are wrong. The only reason it would suck is that you tell yourself that it sucks and won’t let yourself see how awesome it truly is. Here are some tweets about how awesome it is to be a vegan!
1. During A Pandemic, You Have Options!
I know the grocery store has been emptying out of many foods quickly. Even beans and rice, which is normally abundant, have been bought out at many stores. But most of the vegan stuff has been hanging in there pretty good!
No one is buying the vegan stuff at Whole Foods….. thank you. pic.twitter.com/SR0vVwBZIL

2. You Appreciate Food More As A Vegan
I don’t know what it is, but food tastes better as a vegan. It’s more flavorful and satisfying. It has more soul and creativity behind it.
Being vegan made me love food so much more than I did before

3. You Know You Are Doing Your Part To Not Intentionally Hurt Animals
When you are vegan, and you sit down to eat, you know that your food did not purposely hurt any animals in creating it. No calves were taken from their mothers. No pigs, chickens, cows, or other animals were scared to death and tortured. Your food wasn’t full of fear before it ended up on your plate.
The fact that I can eat so much delicious food without harm to animals. I tend to say “I love being vegan” a lot when I eat. ❤️

4. You Realize That Food Doesn’t Need To Cost An Arm And Leg
The excuse that you can’t afford to be a vegan disappears when you actually become a vegan. there are plenty of things you can buy that don’t cost a ton of money.

5. You Still Get To Eat Milk, Cheese, And Meats
Veganism has come a long way and there are a ton of really good milk replacements, dairy replacements, and meat replacements. And, you get to enjoy them all knowing that you are not contributing to animal agriculture!
I love being vegan. I get to enjoy familiar foods like cheese, and meat & milk, but without contributing to cruelty & environmental harm https://t.co/DVOnMfItJW

6. You Easily Get All The Colors On Your Plate
You’ve heard it from nutritionists before… you need all the colors on your plate in order to be getting all the nutrients you need. Being vegan makes it much easier to do so!
Now i see plates of non vegan food and im just like… where are the colors?

7. New Vegan Foods Are Popping Up Everyday
The old-school vegans had a lot of tofu-based cheeses and meats – and some of them are OK – but in the past few years, really good vegan foods have been popping up everywhere, and they continue to do so! This is the best time to start to be vegan as more and more delicious foods are available and make transitioning so easy!

8. So Many Health Issues Go Away!
Being vegan doesn’t mean you are going to be the healthiest person on the planet, but people are always amazed at how dairy and meat were causing issues in them that they didn’t know about.
For me, I was having a ton of pain in my fingers, which I thought was arthritis, but turned out to be from dairy. It stopped within a week of quitting dairy, along with some stomach issues.
Dairy used to give me the biggest stomach aches!

9. Standing Behind Your Words Feels Damn Good
I used to say that I loved animals, but I knew how animals were being treated in the meat and dairy industries. I just chose to ignore it and continue on with my bold statements of compassion and caring. Now, I can say that I love animals, do my part in helping the environment, and am doing what I can for my health without feeling like a pretender.
Not being a hypocrite anymore.

10. You’re In Good Company
There are a lot of awesome vegans out there doing good things. Once you find a vegan community and get active in it, it’s clear that vegans are compassionate beings who are trying their best to promote positive change in the world, even if they are doing it too loudly or tend to be too in your face. They care, and that’s the bottom line.
And, thankfully, more and more celebrities are becoming vegan because, whether we like it or not, they do have a lot of influence over people and can help people see that being vegan is not only cool for the animals and the environment, but it’s really delicious too!
I’m personally so glad that Kevin Smith and Kevin Hart are vegan! I love them both.
