Not to be a hater or anything but this just looks like what an ideal family is but not the reality of the situation. As from what I’ve seen many families are not like that. Many financially struggling families don’t have the time and energy to invest in their family. Asian families have high expectations for their children in terms of education and success without provide the support they need which can result in depression and isolation. There are single parent families where the parent cannot pay full attention to their child. Even “parents” that have children “accidentally” or have addiction problems end up doing bad parenting habits which often passes on to the child who grows up and does the same thing. Due to the growing market for “individualism” many people are become more independent with their own goals dreams and interests. So more often then not, if they want to start a family , they want to start a family without sacrificing their pursuits. But alot of time and money must be put into it to the point where many people feel like its not a worthy “investment” and think of it as a painful traditional practice rather than a modern happiness incubator. As a parent, one must project good values to their children so that can also be good, but in truth most parents themselves are not honorable and upright. i.e. They tell their children not to drink out late but they themselves go drinking all night. Nowadays we look for a significant other they suits our needs rather than a significant other that can make a family with. The truth is, ideal families need money, responsibility and sacrifice, which most people at least need more time to be able afford as they are busy with their own interests. However there is pressure biologically for people to get married and have children before 30 so many are not prepared for the ideal scenario.
