What happens in your life is a reflection of what happens inside of you – what you tell yourself and what you believe about yourself. This is why it’s important to clear out that doubt and fear. When you do, you can move past it and get busy affirming and doing things that help you attract the life you want.

This method of looking at doubt and fear in your life is from Unlimited Abundance. I highly recommend checking it out if you want to take a deep dive into your life and what’s holding you back from abundance in all areas of your life. It’s life-changing to do the work.

1. Clear Out Your Mixed Messages Creating Doubt

First, you want to see where you are sending yourself mixed messages.

For instance, you want to create a successful website, and you know that it will require work, but you don’t actually want to put the work in to create a successful website. This sends a message of doubt. I want to create this website, but I don’t think I can do the work.

Common mixed messages include:

  • I’m too old.
  • I’m too young.
  • I can’t do it.
  • It’s never happened, so why would it happen now?
  • It’s too hard.
  • Things don’t change.
  • I can’t do what other people do.

These affirmations keep you from going after what you want.

What mixed messages are you telling yourself that create more doubt in your life?

2. Clear Out How You Are Sabotaging Yourself

Where are you sabotaging yourself in a way that creates doubt?

Maybe you are wanting to do something, but you are procrastinating on it. The more you procrastinate, the more you doubt your ability to do it.

There are many ways that you may be sabotaging yourself, including:

  • Refusing to do the work required.
  • Not creating a routine.
  • Doing pointless things (like watching TV) when you could be working on something that might bring you abundance.
  • Multitasking.
  • Putting others first.
  • Affirming negative things to yourself.

The more you sabotage yourself, the more you feel as if you can’t do what you need to do.

Where are you sabotaging yourself?

3. Clear Out Certain Lies (And Admit Certain Truths)

Lastly, if you are not admitting certain truths to yourself, then doubt and fear are going to stick around.

For instance, if you want to accomplish something, are you refusing to admit that you need to do the work? Are you hoping things will just work out? If you don’t admit that you must get up and work to accomplish what you want to accomplish, then you won’t do the work and you will stay stuck in a cycle of doubt and fear.

Other things you may not be admitting to yourself include:

  • That you are capable of doing what you need to do.
  • That you need help.
  • That you might need to take other avenues to get to where you want to go.
  • That you are doing too much at once.

Once you start to admit certain things to yourself, you can stop making excuses and start doing what you need to do.

What lies are you telling yourself? What truths are you avoiding?
