Every meeting has a purpose. Yet, it is normal for people to come and go because nothing is permanent in this world. There will always be a time of loss and moving on – no matter how you want to stick with them.
You come in contact with people either for a season or a lifetime. And sometimes, God may remove them when He wants you to move into a new chapter of life. So, unlike what others suspect, it is not a coincidence when they are disconnected from you.
However, it is human nature to cling to people that we love and care about. That is why it is normal to feel pain. To help you move on faster, it is best to trust God’s reason. It could be one of these:
1. God Has a Divine Plan to Fulfill.
God has a divine plan for you. That is why He will either bring people to you or remove them from your life. The Lord allows them to be with you for a season. Meanwhile, it is for your advantage that He takes them away when that season is finally over.
Ecclesiastes 3:1 says, “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens”
From the moment you surrendered your life to God, you have given Him permission to do His will and fulfill His purpose for you. Thus, He will remove anyone or anything that can hinder the fulfillment of His ultimate plan for your life.
2. Your Relationship with Them Might Have Become Toxic.
This world is full of toxic people, and it is inevitable not to encounter them every day. You may hardly notice how they secretly envy or dislike you too. Or, they might have become a bad influence without you realizing it.
So, when God removes people from your life, it is because He knows that they are toxic for you. He sees the heart and knows what trouble those individuals might bring to you. Also, He knows their secret thoughts and feelings toward you. Therefore, He desires to keep you away from a toxic relationship.
3. They May Not Be Right for You.
Sometimes, you are busy hanging on to the wrong people. Instead of building you up, they are dragging you down. This is because they want to be in control and are constantly manipulating things.
God sees not just the start but the ending of every story. So if He knows that some people are not right for you, He will allow them to be removed from your life.
4. You Have Become Dependent on Someone Than on God.
God wants you to be dependent on Him rather than on people. Remember that He is a jealous God. Anyone you prioritize more than Him is considered your idol. So, do not place someone above Him. Being your creator, He deserves to be the first in your life.
Exodus 34:14 states, “—for you shall not worship any other god, for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God—”
God assesses every relationship before He removes someone from your life. So do not get mad if He wants to detach you from those people. Maybe they have distracted you from your devotion towards the Lord.
5. God Wants to Bring Someone Else in.
Removal of a person from your life can be a sign that God wants to bring someone else in. In other words, this can be His way to make room for another individual who might need you more and vice versa.
Also, understand that there is an addition in every removal. Therefore, it is for your benefit when God makes way for you to meet someone else.
6. God Wants You to Keep Focused.
Your relationship with other people might have caused some distractions. For instance, a toxic relationship with someone might have shifted your focus from God to worldly things.
God wants you to be with Him. He desires that you make Him your priority as well. He loves you so much and is not happy to let go of you. Thus, never lose sight of His ultimate plan for your life by focusing on Him.
7. God Has Another Plan for Them.
God has a plan for all of us – including those people whom He removes from your life. Sometimes, it is hard to understand why He does this, especially if the person is a good friend or someone dear to you.
However, everything happens for a reason. So, trust God that He has another assignment for the person He is moving out of your life.
8. It Is Time for The Relationship to Be Over.
There are times when you have to stop hanging on to people because it is time for the relationship to be over. Some folks come and go, and not all relationships will last. Learn to move on with your life without them.
For instance, you should forgive your ex if they cheated on you because you are a Christian. But this does not mean that everything will be back to normal again. Sometimes, you have to forgive from a distance, especially if the person is already making you miserable.
9. Rejection Might Be God’s Protection.
There are different reasons why God places people in your life. And no matter how good you are to others, there will always be those who dislike you. Not everyone around wants to see you get up when you are down. Hence, consider it as God’s protection when others reject you.
Psalm 121:7 says, “The Lord will protect you from all evil; He will keep your soul.”
So, if you have not done anything wrong to be rejected by people, and yet they still deserted you, maybe it is God’s work. He probably knew that they would not be a good influence on you, or they would be hurting you in one way or another. That is why just be grateful for circumstances you do not understand.
10. God Has Better Things in Store for You.
God’s plans are far better than yours. He knows what tomorrow may bring. You may not know what will happen the next day, but be reminded of the One who holds your future. Hence, do not beg someone to stay if God has already decided to remove that person from your life.
Additionally, do not be upset or mourn because God has something better in store for you. Acknowledge your loss as a blessing in disguise instead.
Understand The Reasons Why God Removes People from Your Life
God has a purpose for everything that happens in your life. Trust Him because He knows what He is doing. He allows both good and bad things to take place for the fulfillment of his divine plan.
Moreover, if you love God, know that He orchestrates things for your own good. That is why you must trust Him and continue to see His goodness in every situation.
Romans 8:28 says, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
Therefore, do not ignore the signs that God is trying to show you. It is not wise to hang on to people that He wants to remove from your life. Ultimately, you will be better off without them.
