Challenge Yourself To Make One Month All About Your Health

Poor health affects every area of your life negatively. In short, if you don’t feel good, then that affects your relationships, career, and hobbies negatively. It causes you to spend hours of your life, where you could be doing productive and fun things, trying to just feel better. If you are ready to start working on your health, then challenge yourself to take at least one month to put all your extra energy towards your well-being.

3 Big Reasons To Challenge Yourself To Make One Month Focused On Your Health

Challenge Yourself To Make One Month Focused On Your Health

1. Nobody Else Is Going To Do It

Are you waiting for someone to help you improve your health? You will be waiting for a long time. Your mother, father, siblings, friends, coworkers, nor anyone else can help you to improve your health.

It’s up to you.

Even your doctor can’t be proactive on your health like you can.

They can suggest tests, medications, or treatments, but they can’t help you take action on the issues that are affecting you the most.

They can’t make you exercise.

They can’t make you eat healthier food or drink more water.

They can’t force you to meditate, seek out treatment, or work on your mental health in other ways.

If you want to improve your health, then it’s completely up to you to take action.

2. There Is No One Size Fits All

What works for me may not work for you. By making one month all about your health, you can discover what YOU need to do as an individual to improve your health.

This helps you to stop doing things that other people think are good for you but may not be. It helps you get on board with what will work for you.

Do you need to:

  • Work on your sleep habits?
  • Reduce stress?
  • Walk more?
  • Take up yoga?
  • Improve your gut health?
  • Find the proper supplements for you?
  • Eat healthier?
  • Drink more water?
  • Find support?

A combination of these? Something else?

You are unique, and you will find the most benefit for your health by focusing on things that YOU need to do.

3. You Will Make Health An Important Part Of Your Life

If your health is taking a back-burner to other things right now, then challenging yourself to focus on your health for a month is going to completely change your life.

When you deep dive into your health, you find that your health becomes more and more important to you as you research, discover, and try out new healthy habits and routines.

You become more motivated to do what you need to do.

You become more capable of doing what you need to do.

And because of those things, your health improves.

As your health improves, you make health an even more important part of your life.

Soon, you easily make choices that are good for your health because it is so important to you.

One Month Focused On Your Health Challenge

There are many different ways you could take on this challenge, but let’s cover the outline of how to go forward for the month.

1. Get Clear On Your Fitness And Health Goals

What do you want most when it comes to your health?

  • Do you want to be capable of dealing with issues without being stressed out?
  • Do you want to be fit and capable of going on long hikes?
  • Do you want to get rid of that pain in your body?
  • Where would you like to end up. Get clear on your goals and then you can move forward.

2. Develop Habits and Routines

Figure out which habits and routines will most benefit you when it comes to reaching your goals.

Focus on outlining the habits and routines that will help you get to your goals.

  • Do you need to meditate daily to manage stress?
  • Do you need to walk daily to improve your physical endurance?
  • Do you need to start drinking water as soon as you get up?
  • Do you need to create a morning routine that is beneficial for your mental or physical health?
  • Do you need to learn all you can about hormonal health and how it impacts your body?

You shouldn’t incorporate every habit and routine you would like to incorporate. That can get overwhelming and uncomfortable and cause you to go back to your old ways very quickly.

Instead, pick the habits or routines that you think will have the biggest impact on your health and start with those first. When they become a part of your life, you can move on to another habit or routine that you want to adopt.

You should also create some sort of tracker that will allow you to keep track of your new ideal habits. This information will help you going forward.

Here is a simple but effective habit tracker you can use.

3. Let Go Of Poor Habits And Routines

Equally important to developing new habits and routines is letting go of ones that don’t work for you.

  • Do you need to eliminate foods from your diet that cause pain or upset in your body?
  • Do you need to stop doing that stressful thing that makes you feel sick?
  • Do you need to let go of some people in your life who influence you to be unhealthy?

You may also just want to tweak a current routine that is kind of working for you, but needs some improvement.

For instance, if you have a morning workout routine, but you hate doing it, you may want to change where you workout or how you workout going forward.

4. Find Communities To Engage With

As you work on improving your health, find some support groups that can provide information, encourage you, and support you as you work on various aspects of your health.

For instance, if you want to try going plant-based for the month, then find plant-based communities that can help you get excited about doing it and stick with it. You will find a ton of advice and encouragement if you engage in these communities.

5. Tweak As You Go Along

Use your habit tracker to help you with this. How much or how little you do something is going to help you reflect on how you want to go forward.

For instance, if you can clearly see that you only drank enough water on 1 day out of 10, then you will need to find a way to either motivate yourself to drink more water or remove it from your list and add something else.

Although, with that one, you should probably find a way to encourage yourself to drink more water. It’s important. Maybe you need to create an alert or start a challenge with a friend or something else that gets you to actually drink more water.
