Don’t Let Anything Stop You From Doing What You CAN Do

If there was ever a quote we all need to keep around us at all times, it’s this one: Don’t let what you can’t do stop you from doing what you can do. It’s a reminder that we can do something, even if we can’t do what we want to do yet.

One Day You May Be Able To Do What You Can’t Do Now

Stop spending time worrying about what you are not able to do yet. There are always going to be some things you can’t do, but with the right education or practice, you will be able to do those things eventually.

For instance, when a friend of mine went vegan, she was overwhelmed with all the people who could cook amazing vegan food. She couldn’t cook anything vegan that tasted good. She wanted to be able to cook amazing vegan food for her family and friends to help them see how good vegan food could taste. Eventually, instead of focusing on what she couldn’t do, she started to focus on what she could do – read recipes and follow them. Soon, she found herself creating her own flavors in the kitchen. Now she can easily whip up vegan cheeses, sauces, dinners, desserts, appetizers, soups, salads, breakfasts, and lunches without a problem.

That’s what learning is all about. You can’t do it now, but with the right education, experience, and practice, you can do it in the future.

What You Can Do May Be More Suited For You Anyways

There may be some things you just can’t do. For instance, if you want to be a professional singer – and inspire people through your voice – but you are tone-deaf, then there may not be enough practice in the world to help you achieve what you want.

But, that’s OK. There are things that you can do. Maybe you can be an artist or a writer. Or, maybe you have an eye for fashion and can help professional singers who have no fashion sense dress themselves to create an amazing impression. Or, maybe you can be an amazing speaker like Lisa Nichols, and inspire people with your voice in another way.

There is more than one way to be awesome in this world and feel fulfilled at the end of the day.

Just Don’t Get Stagnant

The bottom line is not to get stagnant in life.

Do something.

Work towards something.

Don’t give up and do nothing towards your dreams, goals, and passions.

Remind yourself daily that you will not let what you can’t do stop you from doing what you can do.
