If you are faithful to God, you are probably waiting for that guy whom heaven has sent for you. But how can you know if he’s the one whom God has for you? Are there divine clues that can guide women in identifying the right man for them?

Having the wrong partner in your relationship is not something to be taken lightly. It can break your heart, and worse, it can ruin your life, future, and even the people who rely on you.

18 Signs God Wants you to be with the one sent by Him

Love is a journey. And just like any other journey, you have to choose the right path to achieve happiness and success, not only for yourself and the one you love but also for the relationship you and your partner have.

To guide you in recognizing the man sent by God for you, here are some signs from the Bible that you should watch out for.

1. He speaks the words of God.

“For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.” – John 3:34

The man that comes from God speaks the words of God. Hence, listen carefully to his words. Are his words or messages in agreement with what God teaches us? Does he speak wisdom or foolishness? Of course, you wouldn’t know it if you don’t know God’s words in the first place. Thus, start reading the Holy Scriptures.

Take note that the messages and verses of the Bible are like lyrics in a song. When you become familiar with its harmony, you will know when someone sings it out of tune.

We know that God speaks about love, kindness, compassion, patience, and truthfulness. So if a guy is speaking of the opposite, then obviously he is not from Him.

2. He practices what he speaks.

“My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.” – 1 John 3:18

Words are futile without actions. So even though a man speaks the words of God, if he doesn’t practice them, you can conclude that he’s only pretending and not really the guy sent to you by the Heavens.

3. He doesn’t lie.

“Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord: but they that deal truly are his delight.” – Proverbs 12:22

Of course, God will not send you someone who is a liar. God detests lying, right?

4. He doesn’t corrupt your good character.

“Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.” –  1 Corinthians 15:33

God will not send you a partner who will destroy your good habits, attitude, and whole character. Hence, ask yourself, does he inspire you to grow as a better person or does he influence you to do bad things?

5. He honors and respects you.

“Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.” –1 Peter 2:17

Your guy should know how to respect you as a woman and a person. He should honor you rather than put you in shame.

6. He is just and merciful.

“He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?” – Micah 6:8

God encourages us to show justice and mercy. Hence, expect that the person He will send to you will show the same, not the other way around.

7. He makes sacrifices.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16

The verse above tells that God made a great sacrifice to show His love to us. If a man truly loves you, he will also make sacrifices for you. It may not be a divine sacrifice like what God did, but it can be some sacrifices to save you or your relationship, like sacrificing his own ambition, material possessions, and other important stuff.

8. He forgives you.

“Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.” – Colossians 3:13

Does he forgive you when you make mistakes or does he hold grudges in his heart? This is a question you should find an answer to know if he is from God or not.

9. He gives you grace.

“But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.” – Ephesians 4:7

Grace is a gift given to you even if you don’t deserve it. It’s different from a blessing since you will only receive a blessing if you work for it. You will realize that a man is from God if, despite your shortcomings, he’s still kind and generous to you. Even if you feel like you don’t deserve his love, he still loves you.

HE POSSESSES THE FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. – Galatians 5:22-23

You will know that a man comes from God if the following manifestations of the Spirit of God are present in him:

10. Love: He loves you.

God is love. If you can hear, see, feel and realize love from a guy, then he must be from God. Thus, find out if his love for you is real or not.

ALSO READ: 21 Characteristics of True Love According to the Bible

11. Joy: He has a cheerful heart.

Joyfulness is another manifestation of the Spirit of God. If your man always chooses to act positively rather than react negatively to things around him, then he might be from God.

12. Peace: He is a man of peace.

A man from God always wishes and prays for peacefulness. If a guy loves to quarrel and always picks up a fight with you or with other people, then you can tell he is not the one.

13. Longsuffering: He is patient.

Patience is a virtue that comes from God. He will not send you a man who is short-tempered, irritable, and who always complains. A guy who comes from God also endures challenges and doesn’t easily give up.

14. Gentleness: He is a true gentleman.

The guy from God is not only physically gentle, but he is also gentle with your mind and heart. In other words, he is considerate of your feelings and he understands your thoughts to make sure he will not hurt you physically, emotionally, and mentally.

15. Goodness: He is a good man.

Of course, God will not send you someone who’s unkind, immoral, and does evil acts. Thus, find out if it is kindness or wickedness that’s inside a guy’s heart.

16. Faith: He is faithful.

He should be loyal and dedicated to you. If he’s courting a lot of girls at the same time, then you know he doesn’t have faith in you.

17. Meekness: He can humble himself.

Meekness is sometimes described as a weakness. However, it is simply the ability of a person to humble himself and go low to avoid foolish decisions, wrongful actions, conflicts, and negative consequences. A person from God is one who can overcome his pride just to ensure your well-being and make you happy.

18. Temperance: He has self-control.

You will know if a man has the Spirit if he practices self-discipline. Thus, try to check if he is doing things that can hurt himself, like heavy drinking, smoking, gorging on unhealthy food, or procrastinating on his work. If he is, then it’s a red flag that he’s not the man whom God has for you.

They can be your guide to finding the one sent by God

The signs above from the verses in the Bible can be your guide to choosing the right man with whom you will spend the rest of your life. Of course, the right guy for you may not be perfect and get all of the above, but as long as he is humble, God-fearing and honest enough to admit his shortcomings and he is patient and determined to grow as a person, you know there is hope. Besides,

love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things” – 1 Corinthians 13:7.

5 Ways God will reveal the one to you

1. He puts the one in your path.

NO! He doesn’t control what you do.

He doesn’t make you like a certain person.

He just puts the one in your path so that if the Holy Spirit leads you, you’ll be drawn to them. The Lord does not manipulate our hearts. He just places people in front of us and lets us begin the process.

2. He will send you signs now and then that point to him.

He will either remind you of something or place a person in front of you to show you that he is the one. For example, if He leads you to meet someone while praying at church and your heart beats faster looking at them, this could be a sign.

But if you fall for someone new every week, then this may just be your hormones talking to you.

You have to learn how to listen to God first before throwing yourself into something too quickly because sometimes our hearts are not leading us in the right direction, and we don’t realize it until it is too late.

The Spirit helps us know what is right in God’s eyes.

But learn to wait on the Lord because He may not send you any signs immediately so that you have to be content with waiting and looking elsewhere for a while when it is the right time.

Just don’t sit around waiting too long without knowing what God has planned and how hard you are willing to work to bring your dream into reality.

3. He reveals his love for you in big and small ways.

He is faithful to work with you, not for you.

When God sends him to us, we must learn how to listen and let our hearts open up so that the glory of God can be revealed in this new relationship.

This doesn’t mean that your life will instantly change into a fairytale romance story right away once He sends the one for you. You have to give your all first before expecting anything from Him because otherwise, it will just be impossible to see any positive results.

Your attitude towards others should be willing, hopeful, flexible, and forgiving even if things don’t go as planned. Show the Lord that you are committed enough to

4. He sets the two of you in the same place.

He may lead you to the same place, and your heart will be ready to open up and take a chance.

When it seems like the two of you will never get along or be in each others’ lives, without Him, things are impossible.

He wants you to fall in love with someone who loves Him so that together, you can build a beautiful relationship.

5. He will give the two of you opportunities to do something together.

Even though we don’t know whether or not these two people just met up randomly by themselves or if God arranged the whole thing, it doesn’t matter.

So when you and the one are together with some other friends or family members just have fun.

This is a chance for the two of you to get to know each other better in an environment where God can reveal the one through both of you because your hearts will be open up in front of everyone.

How to Find Out If Your Relationship is the Will of God?

The easiest way to find out if it’s God’s will or not is by asking Him directly. Of course, you can do that but you have to listen for His answer from within your heart. Usually, He will give you an inner knowing and peace about it.

The Holy Spirit speaks through our hearts also (Romans 8:16). So make sure that while you are talking to God, you are also listening to your heart. Have you ever ask for something before and suddenly got it on the same day? It’s not just a coincidence because God will surely answer your prayers if you believe (Mark 11:24).

I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours. (Mark 11:24)

Trust God to reveal His will for you. Proverbs 3:5 teaches us to

Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. (Proverbs 3:5)

There is no one who knows what’s best for you more than the Father Himself.

Look for the Lord’s hand in your relationship. The Bible teaches that He wants to guide, bless, and lead.

Yes, God will bless us, and people all over the world will fear him. (Psalm 67:7)

Don’t be afraid to ask for God’s guidance. Never think that God is not with you. The Bible says that

The LORD is watching everywhere, keeping his eye on both the evil and the good. (Proverbs 15:3).

Look at what has transpired so far. If you have asked Him and He has led you this far, there is no reason to stop now. Be sure to consider if it is truly His will or if it was just circumstance or coincidence since we can never be sure about our future (Jeremiah 29:11).

How can I find out if my relationship is according to the will of God?

The Bible says that God has plans for your life, but it is up to you if you want to accept them or not. So be sure to always seek God’s guidance in striving for His will rather than just looking at what the world would consider “scientifically” right.

We can make our plans, but the LORD determines our steps. (Proverbs 16:9).

Don’t forget about prayer. It is one of the most obvious ways to know if something is aligned with the Lord; and even though He does not always tell us what we want, it can be very reassuring when we ask Him directly (Matthew 7:7). Also, don’t forget that sometimes, love means having faith in a person even if there are things contrary to our thoughts that we can’t explain.

Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. (Matthew 7:7)

If you really want a sign from the Lord, here’s one – if your relationship brings out the best in both of you and is consistent with God’s word (2 Timothy 3:16). Remember that God will not permit anything bad to happen to any of us (Lamentations 3:25).

All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. (2 Timothy 3:16)

By coincidence I started going to the same church as him however I met him at work. I know him more though through church. I would visit him every Sunday. We both help teach the kids on Sunday’s (he works with the older kids and I work with pre-schoolers) he’s done a couple of flirty things but he’s usually just a very kind, outgoing, and respectful person. After spending a night at the church around a camp fire I started to develop feelings. The thing is, is that he is very kind already and it’s hard to tell if he has feelings for me. He recently went away for college and has just come back for thanksgiving. When he saw me we both ran into each others arms. I don’t know if I should tell him how I feel. I’m falling for him but I’m afraid that I’ll ruin the friendship we have.

God really punished many of us guys to be single and alone, even though it wasn’t our choice at all.

Keep your eyes wide open before marriage, half shut afterwards….. Benjamin Franklin

He has already shown you what he is like. Is this what you really want? Do not expect him to change once you’re married. Is this something you can live with?

That is amazing!!! So blessed. I’m with a wonderful man with all these qualities….. trying to learn to trust it’s ok to take the next step. Freaks me out honestly but I know I’d be an idiot to pass him up. Hopefully I’ll shortly be where you are at! How wonderful

I believe God has sent me a righteous man but I still dont know as much about him as he does me. He doesn’t talk very much about himself at all. So I carry most of our conversations. We met on a scrabble game online and we both were not looking to meet anyone. I have to admit his picture was so small that I wasn’t really attracted to him. So we became friends and we talked online for a few months but he was always saying he loved me. Which I didn’t like but chose to ignore it whenever he said it. One day he sent me a picture and I was shocked at how attractive he was! After 4 months I began to notice just how special he is and that it was very easy for me to talk to him about anything, including my painful past. He shared things about himself too and his painful past as well which brought us even closer. Then one day I realized that I really did love him and a month later I told him I loved him!! i was soo happy and we were supposed to meet this Oct on his birthday but now because of his work he cant and wants me to wait until his Xmas break to meet him and his little 9 yr old daughter. Which now feels like eternity to me!! His contract is ended in Feb and then he is retiring for good. Plans to marry me and buy a house. But I’m not entirely sure I’m ready for all these changes even though I love him with all my heart! And feel very grateful that God brought Bob into my life. Because I think he has a lot of the qualities mentioned in the bible but I think both of us will learn from each other.

You will know without hesitation, without doubt. I’m reading alot of “you want him to be the one” instead of he IS the one. If you have to do all this pulling and proding its not genuine. It’s not this hard, everything falls into place runs smoothly. Love flows.

Such are true words. Felt so satisfied and happy reading this article. I’m waiting for my one and only, Prince Charming/ Twin Flame/ Soulmate. I don’t even know if I’m lucky enough to get someone like this, but I’m still being optimistic with my God.
