If you are faithful to God, you are probably waiting for that guy whom heaven has sent for you. But how can you know if he’s the one whom God has for you? Are there divine clues that can guide women in identifying the right man for them?
Having the wrong partner in your relationship is not something to be taken lightly. It can break your heart, and worse, it can ruin your life, your future and even the people who are relying on you.
Love is a journey. And just like any other journey, you have to choose the right path to achieve happiness and success, not only for yourself and the one you love but also for the relationship you and your partner have.
To guide you in recognizing the man sent by God for you, here are some signs from the Bible that you should watch out for.
1. He speaks the words of God.
“For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.” – John 3:34
The man that comes from God speaks the words of God. Hence, listen carefully to his words. Are his words or messages in agreement with what God teaches us? Does he speak wisdom or foolishness? Of course, you wouldn’t know it if you don’t know God’s words in the first place. Thus, start reading the Holy Scriptures.
Take note that the messages and verses of the Bible are like lyrics in a song. When you become familiar with its harmony, you will know when someone sings it out of tune.
We know that God speaks about love, kindness, compassion, patience, and truthfulness. So if a guy is speaking of the opposite, then obviously he is not from Him.
2. He practices what he speaks.
“My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.” – 1 John 3:18
Words are futile without actions. So even though a man speaks the words of God, if he doesn’t practice them, you can conclude that he’s only pretending and not really the guy sent to you by the Heavens.
3. He doesn’t lie.
“Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord: but they that deal truly are his delight.” – Proverbs 12:22
Of course, God will not send you someone who is a liar. God detests lying, right?
4. He doesn’t corrupt your good character.
“Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.” – 1 Corinthians 15:33
God will not send you a partner who will destroy your good habits, attitude, and whole character. Hence, ask yourself, does he inspire you to grow as a better person or does he influence you to do bad things?
5. He honors and respects you.
“Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.” –1 Peter 2:17
Your guy should know how to respect you as a woman and a person. He should honor you rather than put you in shame.

6. He is just and merciful.
“He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?” – Micah 6:8
God encourages us to show justice and mercy. Hence, expect that the person He will send to you will show the same, not the other way around.
7. He makes sacrifices.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16
The verse above tells that God made a great sacrifice to show His love to us. If a man truly loves you, he will also make sacrifices for you. It may not be a divine sacrifice like what God did, but it can be some sacrifices to save you or your relationship, like sacrificing his own ambition, material possessions, and other important stuff.
8. He forgives you.
“Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.” – Colossians 3:13
Does he forgive you when you make mistakes or does he hold grudges in his heart? This is a question you should find an answer to know if he is from God or not.
9. He gives you grace.
“But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.” – Ephesians 4:7
Grace is a gift given to you even if you don’t deserve it. It’s different from a blessing since you will only receive a blessing if you work for it. You will realize that a man is from God if, despite your shortcomings, he’s still kind and generous to you. Even if you feel like you don’t deserve his love, he still loves you.
HE POSSESSES THE FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. – Galatians 5:22-23
You will know that a man comes from God if the following manifestations of the Spirit of God are present in him:
10. Love: He loves you.
God is love. If you can hear, see, feel and realize love from a guy, then he must be from God. Thus, find out if his love for you is real or not.

11. Joy: He has a cheerful heart.
Joyfulness is another manifestation of the Spirit of God. If your man always chooses to act positively rather than react negatively to things around him, then he might be from God.
12. Peace: He is a man of peace.
A man from God always wishes and prays for peacefulness. If a guy loves to quarrel and always picks up a fight with you or with other people, then you can tell he is not the one.
13. Longsuffering: He is patient.
Patience is a virtue that comes from God. He will not send you a man who is short-tempered, irritable, and who always complains. A guy who comes from God also endures challenges and doesn’t easily give up.

14. Gentleness: He is a true gentleman.
The guy from God is not only physically gentle, but he is also gentle with your mind and heart. In other words, he is considerate of your feelings and he understands your thoughts to make sure he will not hurt you physically, emotionally, and mentally.
15. Goodness: He is a good man.
Of course, God will not send you someone who’s unkind, immoral, and does evil acts. Thus, find out if it is kindness or wickedness that’s inside a guy’s heart.
16. Faith: He is faithful.
He should be loyal and dedicated to you. If he’s courting a lot of girls at the same time, then you know he doesn’t have faith in you.
17. Meekness: He can humble himself.
Meekness is sometimes described as a weakness. However, it is simply the ability of a person to humble himself and go low to avoid foolish decisions, wrongful actions, conflicts, and negative consequences. A person from God is one who can overcome his pride just to ensure your well-being and make you happy.
18. Temperance: He has self-control.
You will know if a man has the Spirit if he practices self-discipline. Thus, try to check if he is doing things that can hurt himself, like heavy drinking, smoking, gorging on unhealthy food, or procrastinating on his work. If he is, then it’s a red flag that he’s not the man whom God has for you.
They can be your guide to finding the right guy
The signs above from the verses in the Bible can be your guide to choosing the right man with whom you will spend the rest of your life. The right guy for you may not be perfect and get all of the above, but as long as he is humble, God-fearing and honest enough to admit his shortcomings and he is patient and determined to grow as a person, you know there is hope. Besides, “love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things” – 1 Corinthians 13:7.
Finally, also remember that although God will send the right guy for you, you may still lose him if you will reject him or do nothing. Therefore, don’t just spend your life waiting for the man whom God has for you but you should also strive to be the woman whom God has for him.

12 Signs He’s the Guy You Should Marry According to the Bible
I have been dating a guy for sometime now, we agreed to marry and started with introduction to families. But one thing am afraid of is that i play the major roll in terms of supporting the relationship financially even if that is my last. The guy in question Hardly forgive me when i offend him in a way and always finding faults for me. I need an advice
Please do not push him away, he might just be the right one for you 🙏♥️
You described my husband to a T. He is angel like! I am so blessed!
That is amazing!!! So blessed. I’m with a wonderful man with all these qualities….. trying to learn to trust it’s ok to take the next step. Freaks me out honestly but I know I’d be an idiot to pass him up. Hopefully I’ll shortly be where you are at! How wonderful
I believe God has sent me a righteous man but I still dont know as much about him as he does me. He doesn’t talk very much about himself at all. So I carry most of our conversations. We met on a scrabble game online and we both were not looking to meet anyone. I have to admit his picture was so small that I wasn’t really attracted to him. So we became friends and we talked online for a few months but he was always saying he loved me. Which I didn’t like but chose to ignore it whenever he said it. One day he sent me a picture and I was shocked at how attractive he was! After 4 months I began to notice just how special he is and that it was very easy for me to talk to him about anything, including my painful past. He shared things about himself too and his painful past as well which brought us even closer. Then one day I realized that I really did love him and a month later I told him I loved him!! i was soo happy and we were supposed to meet this Oct on his birthday but now because of his work he cant and wants me to wait until his Xmas break to meet him and his little 9 yr old daughter. Which now feels like eternity to me!! His contract is ended in Feb and then he is retiring for good. Plans to marry me and buy a house. But I’m not entirely sure I’m ready for all these changes even though I love him with all my heart! And feel very grateful that God brought Bob into my life. Because I think he has a lot of the qualities mentioned in the bible but I think both of us will learn from each other.
Well, I have also checked for common signs of finding out the right guy for me, recently I found this article on DatingsApp.com and it helped me understand a lot more things on the signs. Plus, the points added here are also amazing! Very much appreciated.
In my life , even i was youger i never experienced the love between my parents cause they always fight and they got divorced . By looking at them ,I always want my future parnter to be loyal and good man like the followers of God. Cause my dad was not a good person he always hurt my mom. So I pray to God to send me the right man in my life who can always love me and always stand right beside me.
Be patient and wait for the right man to come in your life that God has chosen for you. And keep praying because God will answer our prayers.
Praise the Lord!!😇
Thank you for sharing, great article. I’ve been in a few relationships in the past, which ended, the last one by me, Sometimes I think, did I make a mistake? what if he was the one, but I rejected him, will God bring along someone else?
Such are true words. Felt so satisfied and happy reading this article. I’m waiting for my one and only, Prince Charming/ Twin Flame/ Soulmate. I don’t even know if I’m lucky enough to get someone like this, but I’m still being optimistic with my God.
Still, waiting & praying Father Abba. This,is not easy at all.
I forgot to add the wonderful things about this man who is so special. He is Godly, he went through a battle of addiction and I stuck through it all with him because through it all, I saw God in his face. I have never seen God on anyones face except his. He has loved me through all of my crying, my pain, my family issues, and vice versa. He was the kind of man who desired a relationship of compromise, communication, and support and we had those things. He was constantly helping me to better who I am, encouraging my favorite things and hobbies. He tried to fight the world for us both and when it came down to it, he chose to take of me before anyone else. He included me in everything, he stayed honest and honored me. He was beautifully full of care for me, his family, and the whole world. He always told me that he would lay his life on the line for me. He always tried to show me that the world is good, people can be good. I had a hard time believing that sometimes because my childhood taught me differently. He was true to his word and thrived to give me a life that wasn’t full of pain or ugliness such as the one I have had my whole life. He thrived to create a family with me in the future and to show them a life full of Godly joy and happiness that my parents never showed me. He truly and openly showed that he loved me, he cared for me. To add detail to my first comment, we lived together for two months because he wanted to give me a home that wasn’t filled with my family who neglected me and called me horrible things. We lived there two months, in the beginning he was still battling addiction and then God found him and he stopped but still apologized to me and tried to make it up to me for staying that whole time which he didn’t have to do. Toward the 2nd month was when finances got hard and his stress levels rocketed, my disease I wasn’t aware of was destroying me, and we both fell apart in our bodies. We moved back to our previous families, and this time around my family isn’t neglectful or harsh so far, but when he left he suddenly lost hope and while this is our time to work on ourselves and our health, like I said, all of those things about him still give me hope that God is true, he is right when he has shown me the truth of this boy that I love. No one believes me that everytime God has spoken to me, I have no other worries in my heart or my mind, only Jesus telling me that Andrew, the man he sent to me is one of his strongest future angels, one of the Godliest men he could have given me, the sunshine in a world full of darkness, and the hope and strength when there is none. Each trial that has happened within our relationships have been fought solely by him or by is together but the really difficult ones are the ones that God has given me the strength to fight. He has done it for us before and I had all of the strength and once again (not as bad as this time) Andrew was at a low point, but through my pray and fasting, God helped us. I believe he has given me the strength again this time too, I believe he will give us our second chance to start our relationship on the foundation of the Lord that we wanted, the future we prayed and wished for. I hope someone will reply and tell me their thoughts and if they believe I have the right to keep hope. I will work on myself and pray that God will help Andrew but I do not want to give up that we will heal soon and find our way back through God.
I have been with a man for over a year. He was such a blessing and he had every single one of these aspects. I admit he needed to work on humbleness, but whenever I had a clear mind, God always told me that this man is the one he sent especially for me. We had Gods strength and fought through so much and the love I received from him was so strong. He was endlessly caring, tried to take away the pain of everyone, and spoke the words of God with his hands lifted so high to the sky. He is marvelous and I truly thing God gave me this man. Lately though, we has financial struggles and he started to fall apart within himself. I have always had mental illnesses and I found out the past day that I have had one that I never even knew about. This whole time he has been trying to help me, take on the battles alone lately to help me fight my demons despite me not listening to him or having the motivation or connection with the Lord to try, but neither of us knew about this new disease, and then we both fell apart inside from him taking all of the weight for both of us and from me not getting better. Our love, I believe is still strong and there is so much Godly power within our lives that has shown through all of our obstacles that Christ helped us through. Before we fell apart we were working toward a new life through Jesus, we started praying and reading together, we started going back to church and crying for the Lord the whole service. He wanted, I wanted, a future filled with Christ together and to build upon Him. We have been broken up for the past 2 days and I want to believe this is so we can heal inside. I also want to believe that God still has plans for us. I want to believe that he will give us our second chance to work on that future together through God that we wanted so badly. We decided to be celibate and pray over everything. I think Jesus set us apart so we can heal our hearts to be happy and then to come together and show the world the ultimate happy. I still believe he is the man God prepared for me but we have to be happy ourselves before we can create the life we wanted. Everyone keeps telling me to stop getting my hopes up and to move on and forget it all, but I have hope. My ex boyfriend who I actually was spiritually married to (we’re too young to be actually married and we want to wait anyway) when we decided to live for God, says he has lost hope, he doesn’t think we’re meant to be, he has said that maybe we will have something in the future, and that for now, he needs to work on himself. I am confused, but I am not confused in the thoughts that God has shown me, the thoughts about this man that match every aspect listed here are true. I want to keep having hope that he will bring the man he has given me back, he will give us a second chance and my ex boyfriend will regain his strength and hope for us like he always has. He has never been one to give up, he has always kept trying but he has never fallen this hard within himself. Does anyone have any advice or further belief that he will be able to be healed and regain hope? He is so strong but this time he took on too much and it struck him down. He has never faltered in being kind, caring, or showing his Godly love for me or anyone else. Am I wrong for praying and still keeping this hope?
The Bible says if a man doesn’t take care of his home he is worse than a non believer. He is just making excuses.
I totally agree for I’ve lived that way for a long time even AFTER hearing The Gospel – I’m now trying hard to rededicate myself to JESUS CHRIST as best I am able, hope sincerely that it’s not too late for me.
I pray God help me to be a good Christian wife to the right man….. I’m grateful for this write up😄😃, I have been slacking in my choice of date but am happy I read this today. Thank you so much.
Well I Have been searching for common signs wondering if my wife was who god really wanted me to be with. Then. I asked myself am I the man god has sent for my wife. I’m not an active church member, I have been reaching out to god for advice if I should continue my marriage, I have given everything to my family I have stayed faithful. To a women that has been a great women from the start but has spiraled into a cheating alcoholic. I have maintained faithfulness to her and even have tried to make things at home better. I am starting to think she has cheated the whole marriage I am not sure my gut says prepare and leave and the. Another part says be patient. I have no clue what too so I’m exhausted
Thank you sir!!this guy i am courting possess some of those qualities but whenever I go visiting him ,i am always filled with God’s presence, but coming back from his house I feel empty,as if the holyspirit has left me ..I told him I don’t want sex b4 marriage but he always wants to romance me whenever he sees me around ,and that makes me start feeling like a sinner, because of that my mind keep telling me to end d relationship ..pls what’s your advice sir?
I got to have known for a very long time started coming around about a year ago just being friends then we cross the line had a relationship going now he tells me he thinks about me all the time cares a lot about me every time he’s with me wants to be with me more but it’s just not going to work cuz I’m reason my grandkids and he does not want to raise kids I have prayed for God to send me someone and he showed up at church
God sent me the man I was called to be with in 2017. Unfortunately I’m not with him. He had prayed with me he wanted to walk me home and help me with my stuff God had confirmed he was the one and I didn’t let him walk me home. I felt shy and at the time I was in an abusive relationship and felt I was obligated to the abuser and feel I may never see the man also known as my soulmate again. I also made the mistake of coming back to another province and feel I’ve missed something so wonderful and may never have it in this lifetime
Thanks so much. My guy’s quality match with all these and we so much respect and love each other. But SHOCKINGLY; He got a message from his church that God said if he marry the person plan to marry, he should be ready to bear the consequences. We have been confused about that.
This is a great article; I love it! One thing that I would suggest would be to write this article so that both genders can both more easily follow it; this is advice is just as pertinent for guys to use in finding the right woman as it is for women to find the right guy.
