The man God has for you

If you are faithful to God, you are probably waiting for that guy whom heaven has sent for you. But how can you know if he’s the one whom God has for you? Are there divine clues that can guide women in identifying the right man for them?

Having the wrong partner in your relationship is not something to be taken lightly. It can break your heart, and worse, it can ruin your life, future, and even the people who rely on you.

18 Signs God Wants you to be with the one sent by Him

Love is a journey. And just like any other journey, you have to choose the right path to achieve happiness and success, not only for yourself and the one you love but also for the relationship you and your partner have.

To guide you in recognizing the man sent by God for you, here are some signs from the Bible that you should watch out for.

1. He speaks the words of God.

“For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.” – John 3:34

The man that comes from God speaks the words of God. Hence, listen carefully to his words. Are his words or messages in agreement with what God teaches us? Does he speak wisdom or foolishness? Of course, you wouldn’t know it if you don’t know God’s words in the first place. Thus, start reading the Holy Scriptures.

Take note that the messages and verses of the Bible are like lyrics in a song. When you become familiar with its harmony, you will know when someone sings it out of tune.

We know that God speaks about love, kindness, compassion, patience, and truthfulness. So if a guy is speaking of the opposite, then obviously he is not from Him.

2. He practices what he speaks.

“My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.” – 1 John 3:18

Words are futile without actions. So even though a man speaks the words of God, if he doesn’t practice them, you can conclude that he’s only pretending and not really the guy sent to you by the Heavens.

3. He doesn’t lie.

“Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord: but they that deal truly are his delight.” – Proverbs 12:22

Of course, God will not send you someone who is a liar. God detests lying, right?

4. He doesn’t corrupt your good character.

“Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.” –  1 Corinthians 15:33

God will not send you a partner who will destroy your good habits, attitude, and whole character. Hence, ask yourself, does he inspire you to grow as a better person or does he influence you to do bad things?

5. He honors and respects you.

“Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.” –1 Peter 2:17

Your guy should know how to respect you as a woman and a person. He should honor you rather than put you in shame.

6. He is just and merciful.

“He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?” – Micah 6:8

God encourages us to show justice and mercy. Hence, expect that the person He will send to you will show the same, not the other way around.

7. He makes sacrifices.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16

The verse above tells that God made a great sacrifice to show His love to us. If a man truly loves you, he will also make sacrifices for you. It may not be a divine sacrifice like what God did, but it can be some sacrifices to save you or your relationship, like sacrificing his own ambition, material possessions, and other important stuff.

8. He forgives you.

“Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.” – Colossians 3:13

Does he forgive you when you make mistakes or does he hold grudges in his heart? This is a question you should find an answer to know if he is from God or not.

ALSO READ: 12 Signs He’s the Guy You Should Marry According to the Bible

9. He gives you grace.

“But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.” – Ephesians 4:7

Grace is a gift given to you even if you don’t deserve it. It’s different from a blessing since you will only receive a blessing if you work for it. You will realize that a man is from God if, despite your shortcomings, he’s still kind and generous to you. Even if you feel like you don’t deserve his love, he still loves you.

HE POSSESSES THE FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. – Galatians 5:22-23

You will know that a man comes from God if the following manifestations of the Spirit of God are present in him:

10. Love: He loves you.

God is love. If you can hear, see, feel and realize love from a guy, then he must be from God. Thus, find out if his love for you is real or not.

ALSO READ: 21 Characteristics of True Love According to the Bible

11. Joy: He has a cheerful heart.

Joyfulness is another manifestation of the Spirit of God. If your man always chooses to act positively rather than react negatively to things around him, then he might be from God.

12. Peace: He is a man of peace.

A man from God always wishes and prays for peacefulness. If a guy loves to quarrel and always picks up a fight with you or with other people, then you can tell he is not the one.

13. Longsuffering: He is patient.

Patience is a virtue that comes from God. He will not send you a man who is short-tempered, irritable, and who always complains. A guy who comes from God also endures challenges and doesn’t easily give up.

14. Gentleness: He is a true gentleman.

The guy from God is not only physically gentle, but he is also gentle with your mind and heart. In other words, he is considerate of your feelings and he understands your thoughts to make sure he will not hurt you physically, emotionally, and mentally.

15. Goodness: He is a good man.

Of course, God will not send you someone who’s unkind, immoral, and does evil acts. Thus, find out if it is kindness or wickedness that’s inside a guy’s heart.

16. Faith: He is faithful.

He should be loyal and dedicated to you. If he’s courting a lot of girls at the same time, then you know he doesn’t have faith in you.

17. Meekness: He can humble himself.

Meekness is sometimes described as a weakness. However, it is simply the ability of a person to humble himself and go low to avoid foolish decisions, wrongful actions, conflicts, and negative consequences. A person from God is one who can overcome his pride just to ensure your well-being and make you happy.

18. Temperance: He has self-control.

You will know if a man has the Spirit if he practices self-discipline. Thus, try to check if he is doing things that can hurt himself, like heavy drinking, smoking, gorging on unhealthy food, or procrastinating on his work. If he is, then it’s a red flag that he’s not the man whom God has for you.

They can be your guide to finding the one sent by God

The signs above from the verses in the Bible can be your guide to choosing the right man with whom you will spend the rest of your life. Of course, the right guy for you may not be perfect and get all of the above, but as long as he is humble, God-fearing and honest enough to admit his shortcomings and he is patient and determined to grow as a person, you know there is hope. Besides,

love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things” – 1 Corinthians 13:7.

5 Ways God will reveal the one to you

1. He puts the one in your path.

NO! He doesn’t control what you do.

He doesn’t make you like a certain person.

He just puts the one in your path so that if the Holy Spirit leads you, you’ll be drawn to them. The Lord does not manipulate our hearts. He just places people in front of us and lets us begin the process.

2. He will send you signs now and then that point to him.

He will either remind you of something or place a person in front of you to show you that he is the one. For example, if He leads you to meet someone while praying at church and your heart beats faster looking at them, this could be a sign.

But if you fall for someone new every week, then this may just be your hormones talking to you.

You have to learn how to listen to God first before throwing yourself into something too quickly because sometimes our hearts are not leading us in the right direction, and we don’t realize it until it is too late.

The Spirit helps us know what is right in God’s eyes.

But learn to wait on the Lord because He may not send you any signs immediately so that you have to be content with waiting and looking elsewhere for a while when it is the right time.

Just don’t sit around waiting too long without knowing what God has planned and how hard you are willing to work to bring your dream into reality.

3. He reveals his love for you in big and small ways.

He is faithful to work with you, not for you.

When God sends him to us, we must learn how to listen and let our hearts open up so that the glory of God can be revealed in this new relationship.

This doesn’t mean that your life will instantly change into a fairytale romance story right away once He sends the one for you. You have to give your all first before expecting anything from Him because otherwise, it will just be impossible to see any positive results.

Your attitude towards others should be willing, hopeful, flexible, and forgiving even if things don’t go as planned. Show the Lord that you are committed enough to

4. He sets the two of you in the same place.

He may lead you to the same place, and your heart will be ready to open up and take a chance.

When it seems like the two of you will never get along or be in each others’ lives, without Him, things are impossible.

He wants you to fall in love with someone who loves Him so that together, you can build a beautiful relationship.

5. He will give the two of you opportunities to do something together.

Even though we don’t know whether or not these two people just met up randomly by themselves or if God arranged the whole thing, it doesn’t matter.

So when you and the one are together with some other friends or family members just have fun.

This is a chance for the two of you to get to know each other better in an environment where God can reveal the one through both of you because your hearts will be open up in front of everyone.

How to Find Out If Your Relationship is the Will of God?

The easiest way to find out if it’s God’s will or not is by asking Him directly. Of course, you can do that but you have to listen for His answer from within your heart. Usually, He will give you an inner knowing and peace about it.

The Holy Spirit speaks through our hearts also (Romans 8:16). So make sure that while you are talking to God, you are also listening to your heart. Have you ever ask for something before and suddenly got it on the same day? It’s not just a coincidence because God will surely answer your prayers if you believe (Mark 11:24).

I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours. (Mark 11:24)

Trust God to reveal His will for you. Proverbs 3:5 teaches us to

Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. (Proverbs 3:5)

There is no one who knows what’s best for you more than the Father Himself.

Look for the Lord’s hand in your relationship. The Bible teaches that He wants to guide, bless, and lead.

Yes, God will bless us, and people all over the world will fear him. (Psalm 67:7)

Don’t be afraid to ask for God’s guidance. Never think that God is not with you. The Bible says that

The LORD is watching everywhere, keeping his eye on both the evil and the good. (Proverbs 15:3).

Look at what has transpired so far. If you have asked Him and He has led you this far, there is no reason to stop now. Be sure to consider if it is truly His will or if it was just circumstance or coincidence since we can never be sure about our future (Jeremiah 29:11).

How can I find out if my relationship is according to the will of God?

The Bible says that God has plans for your life, but it is up to you if you want to accept them or not. So be sure to always seek God’s guidance in striving for His will rather than just looking at what the world would consider “scientifically” right.

We can make our plans, but the LORD determines our steps. (Proverbs 16:9).

Don’t forget about prayer. It is one of the most obvious ways to know if something is aligned with the Lord; and even though He does not always tell us what we want, it can be very reassuring when we ask Him directly (Matthew 7:7). Also, don’t forget that sometimes, love means having faith in a person even if there are things contrary to our thoughts that we can’t explain.

Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. (Matthew 7:7)

If you really want a sign from the Lord, here’s one – if your relationship brings out the best in both of you and is consistent with God’s word (2 Timothy 3:16). Remember that God will not permit anything bad to happen to any of us (Lamentations 3:25).

All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. (2 Timothy 3:16)

You aren’t crazy dear… Patience is a fruit of the spirit n if indeed he has the fruit of the spirit then he should be able to wait. If you feel like you are rushing, maybe the Spirit is speaking to u…. Pray that the will of God be done. It’s better he marries u early than to wait n fall into sin….

It is about allowing Gods will to flow through your life. He Knows what is best for his Children. And as a matter of fact, before a relationship or marriage becomes successful, God must be the pivot.

I love these tips, however I realize that none of your tips says he must be a frequent/church goer, I personally don’t believe that you must go church in order to live a godly or good life, they are people i know who go to church, are Christians too and treat their wives so bad, but I love these tips, thank you

I have met my eternal love four years ago, we met during my senior college year. I was in my lowest point of life, he appeared to lift up my spirit, he pointed me to the Lord, he had been a light in the darkness, he showed me what it meant to love your friend and lay down your life for her, he always guided me to a righteous path. He was madly in love with the Lord Jesus Christ, every work he did was to exalt God’s holy name, If it were not him, I wouldn’t be so close with the Lord now and begin serving the Lord in Ministry. I miss him, I love him but that was not the right timing of the Lord, after I finished college, we went separate ways, he used to write me letters, but somehow, he stopped, I never heard from him, in the last letter, he wrote, : “I will write longer later.” Yet, he never did. I prayed to God to help me to forget and let go of him but it only made me missing him and praying for him more. I really don’t know, there are many gentlmen courting me, but none of them I love just as how much I love him. I once told him that, “if I never see you on earth again, I will wait for you at the gate of heaven.” When I said this to him, I meant every word…My heart aches whenever I think of him, but I pray to God to give him a Godly Christian wife whom will love him, respect him and submit to him,if I were not this woman for him. Only God knows…brothers and sisters in Christ, what do you think?

all i can advice you, just be persistent in prayers..take delight in the Lord.God knows the exact person for you…seek God.let God reveal and make your man restless until he finds you..i am also trusting in the Lord for a God-fearing man…and i denounce spirits that connects me to the wrong relationships in Jesus name..(the bible says submit yourself to the Lord, denounce the devil and he will flee away from you)
may Gods grace, mercies, and favors rest upons us….whenever i call unto the Lord He hears, and answers me….He will truly answer us for He knows the plans He has for each and every one of us…..but first he bible says we should seek the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all this shall be added to us………God is in control..He works in miraculous ways He will make your man to find you in Jesus name amen

I began dating a guy in November 2014 – to cut a long story short. I had no idea who god was when i was dating him. I never once prayed or went to mass. This guy was most definitely not sent to me by God. I was the one to end the relationship and ended up in a deep depression as i felt sooo guilty for hurting him, as he begged and begged me not to leave him. I cried for a year and never once thought about myself during this time.
I was having severe anxiety esp at night and i would reach for my rosary beads (they were always in a drawer, but never used up until this point) I always remember my grandmother telling me that if i ever had problems sleeping that i should repeat “Jesus, Mary & Joseph, I place all my trust in you!” so i repeated those words until i fell asleep and when i woke again (which was 10 times a night) i would do the same thing all over again. Two years had passed and i was feeling ok. I found the Mother of God in these years and she introduced me to her son Jesus , i prayed to the Mother of God every night. I prayed that if i was meant to have a man in my life that she would direct me to him. So in 2018 i met a guy. After a few dates i was invited to his house for lunch….. i couldn’t believe my eyes when i walked into his living room and there in the corner of the room was a statue of Our Lady???? Surely he was sent to me? We have been together for 10 months. So basically out of nowhere my feelings towards him are not as strong as they used to be, i can feel him getting on my nerves, and i don’t like having these negative feelings towards him. Hes such a good person, his morals and his existence is mere peace. He doesn’t practice his faith exactly the way i do…. we go to mass together and pray for us as a couple. So i’m a little on edge at the moment and i’m not sleeping great again. Basically i’m afraid that this will be the beginning of the end for us and for the hurt that he will endure if i have to tell him that we cant be together anymore. one minute i feel positive for us and the next i feel scared. Im calling out to God for him to let me know one way or the other because i cannot think straight for myself.

Thank you so much! When I was longing for love in my life and When I cried to lord, before I ask for someone, lord himself sent a guy to me. From nowhere he called me and said that he is in love with for 18long years.

When ever I cried out to lord, is he the one for me , he always made this guy call me at that very moment.

From past 3 days,I’ve been in confusion that is he the one? because I’m afraid of getting hurt.

He said, he loves me but first he said it may not happen, because 8 years back his cousin was in love with me, later everything changed and his cousin will not abide to any one.

He is not true one. Even if his cousin is there around him, he never used to talk.

I felt bad and I prayed to lord. Again miracle, he himself said, that’s not a problem anymore because I know I’m not doing wrong.

He is in different country and have very busy schedule. Whenever he gets time he will calls and speak for hours. Even I’m low, no matter how busy he is, he will call.

After seeing all these, I’ve faith in lord that he is the one, that god sent.

Every single thing matches.

I’m so grateful to lord that he led me to see this page.

Thank you so much! You’ve no idea how much you helped me.

He is afraid that long distance doesn’t work so I’m not sure of going to his place to study or continue working here.

I need help from lord and I do believe that he’ll lead me further. Lord is helping me to be a blessed women now.

Remember, you cannot change anyone; only God can do so. It sounds like he really doesn’t have the heart to seek after God. You cannot put that seek in him. He has to want God for himself. I would suggest stepping back from the relationship and just be a friend and really pray for him objectively. Just because a person is saved and you are saved, it doesn’t mean you are equally yoked. God will send you someone who has strong faith in him and has a deep relationship with him. But remember, you can’t make him have a deep relationship with Christ. He has to want it and seek after it.

Scripturally sounds good but far from reality. In my opinion, love and life has no guarantee.

My step-dad married my mom, my mom had us 4 kids and him none. He wasn’t a spiritual man at all but he was a kind gentle man, wasn’t even going to church, my mom was super spiritual, an intercessor at that!

19 years later, they still happily married love birds I’ve ever seen. My dad (step) is now the most spiritual and leading the family spiritually for the past few years while my mom is now slacking

Equally I’ve seen lots of married couples and godly friends who were both godly when they met but few years down the line there was divorce (some were pastors and leaders) or some fell away while still married. Imagine if you married someone because they had a great relationship with God (which can change any minute because we human) then they later backslide in marriage and loose the very same thing that was your deciding factor! I myself has an awesome relationship with God for years but am rebellious now because I’ve seen a lot growing in church environment.

Just my opinion…

I have met a man of God. He is a Senior Pastor that was in a previous relationship that ended 8 months ago. This lady showed up at his church unknowingly to him. We have been courting for about 3 months now and his desire is to be married. Obviously, she still has feelings for him, but he says that he called it off for a reason. I have no reason to not believe him, but I think that I should step back because I’m not trying to get “caught up.”

A solid relationship has to be built on trust. If you don’t believe him then leave. If his actions are lining up with his words and he is really not showing his ex any attention then stay. It sounds like you’ve been hurt in the past and there is some fear there that he will leave. If he’s showing you and telling you he wants you and truly wants nothing to do with her then you have to lay down your fears. Fear, misplaced lack of trust, and doubt are cancers to relationships. Don’t let them stop you from being happy and having a good thing.

Hi, yes step back it’s to early for him to become involved with any women. And if he cant tell you why he and the previous broke up. I’m pretty sure the ex- girlfriend can. I made that mistake but, moved very slow. He was going through a divorce and they argued over the phone and tried to keep it from me. I told him he I was ready for him but he wasnt ready for me. Any length of time two people spend together their has been a bond established . They can break up but it’s still their and we think jumping into another relationship is the answer. No it’s not. Find out who the man really is how long was he single before the previous relationship. Is or was he practicing what he preaches no sex before marriage, if he’s been married and what happened even is he was and she past away. This previous relationship and now shes coming back to the church. And also, keep your relationship a secret this is tedious the Pastor is loose and apparently he didnt ask God for his mate. He’s been with several females and now he hasn’t been out of his last relationship of 8 months or longer.before he stayed this one. Chech to see is this a pattern with him. See ask God to show you. Take your time opening up and giving your heart. Keep a journal ask him some questions write the dates and time. Then a few days later ask him them same questions and compare the answers to see if he’s telling you the truth or lien to you. See how or if his attitude changes when you ask him questions, does he avoid eye contact or gets agitated when questioned . Does he have roaming eyes. When your together watching other females. Or are you the only Woman he has eyes for and great loyalty and respect. And he’s not with you because he can’t control himself. And by you staying in control of your own feelings and emotions if the Rev is not the one it wont be a huge broken heart because you went to far .

This is very true. I have had experiences with various men, and each relationship did not work. I wondered why things always seemed to fall through with these people.

These men did not follow God the way I follow him, his word, and his actions. As I was with these people, I lost sight of Gods word and his influence in my life.

I have reflected and saw myself in experiences that I cannot understand. I was blind. These men were sent to me, for me to learn that these are not people that need to be in my life.

I have now realized that the man that God put into my life 5 years ago was the one, all along. As we build a relationship, it feels so different. So natural, so open, and so loving.

I was blinded by distractions, but God wanted me to see that I had all that I needed in that specific man.

I thank God for his grace and his influence in my life.

Amen

Similar thing w me. Everything in that list was there. He didn’t look like I wanted him to look, warm the money or stability I wanted, like the things I liked, but seemed to have the character and flexibility— actually thought this man has real Christ-consciousness. Not what I wanted, but maybe what I needed.

I may have “rejected” him, but he is not reaching out to me like he used to.

Actually we were hanging out when something happened to him that very likely could have killed him.

Maybe a warning of some sort.

Don’t know what has been going on. All I know is that when he used to write or say my name, I actually felt like God was saying it. (Hard to describe)

And now I have lost him

Thank you for this message. I really feel as if my Boaz has come. I’ve known this man all my life, but never knew him when we were kids. I just happened to reconnect with him after almost 20 years and we had an immediate connection. He immediately became my best friend. I cannot stop thinking about this man. I have not loved anyone as I love him. However, I feel I may have lost him for fear of rejection on my part. I think I may have said something to hurt him because now he’s not talking to me. He’s distant and I cannot get to him. I am praying that if this man is really my Boaz he will forgive me and talk to me so we can clear up any concerns we both may have. I’m praying he doesn’t see me as rejecting him as stated in the message above only to lose him and miss my blessing. Lord forgive me.

Pray for yourself – pray that you believe in him and not to pray to manifest from God. Build a relationship with God first. Everything else will follow.

Girl,

Let me tell ya! You need to start running. He cares more for himself than you. U say that you work a lot and he doesn’t, you will not advance in your salary, move into a home or anything. He is using U. A man is supposed to die for his kids….. You holding him down while he is acting like a child. I bet he calls you Mama! Let HIM GO. Read the Bible and see how a person is supposed to act and what their actions are supposed to be when they are grown, he is not acting like a grown man. Read Proverbs and see how his actions line up w/ what GOD says and U will know your answer!

Any man who is not an equal partner is lazy spiritually, he is taking advantage of a great woman and mother.

Today is July 20,2020 ask God to show you if he is. If he hadn’t already. I just came across this while reading for myself if God sent him. Watch his actions take notes when he tells you anything. Come back a few days later ask him that question see what your answer is. Does he talk about God and are you a priority.
Does he call you on his breaks or takes time to spend with you. Has to be a gentleman to you and you can see the sogns if he’s not and if he has an anger or lie pattern. What are his actions when you want to be with your friends or you want to further your education. I hope this helps someone. Take your time move slow. Because if he’s not your heart won’t be broken because you moved to fast. Wirh intimacy, sex, keys to your home

Then maybe if you two aren’t already married she may not be the one for you because the Godly woman will appreciate the man sent from God to her.
